Hortiwool utilizes the naturally-occurring properties of wool to create an ideal growing environment. It wicks moisture from its surroundings to feed roots, provides insulation for tender root systems so you can plant earlier in the season, and it is 100% biodegradable, breaking down naturally when planted in the soil, and becoming part of the plant’s total nutrition.

Extend your planting season by using Hortiwool as mulch on top of the soil or wrapping it around root balls before plants go in the ground. It’s also a great coir-alternative for lining hanging baskets. And growing micro-greens with Hortiwool is a cinch! Simply lay a section of Hortiwool in a shallow dish of water, spread your micro-green seeds and — that’s it! After you’ve harvested your itty-bitty bounty, you can flip the Hortiwool over and sprout a new batch using the other side. It even works as capillary matting for self-watering seed starter systems.
